2020 has been an incredibly challenging year for businesses, especially SMEs. With Coronavirus and its effects expected to be around for some time, we strongly advise those who need it to take the help and support currently available.

As well as the many government grants available, we’d like to highlight some of the free support available from the Berkshire Business Growth Hub. This is available to SMEs in Berkshire and include:

  • Pre-Accelerator Programme. A five-week intensive course of fully funded help and support for successful applicants to launch their new business.
  • Recovery and Growth Programme. Benefit from 12 hours of impartial and tailored support for eligible businesses. Includes a mix of one-to-one meetings with an assigned experienced business advisor from the Growth Hub, free masterclasses and 1:1 advice clinics with industry experts. This programme is designed for established businesses with 3+ FTEs and £100k+ turnover and who have been adversely affected by Coronavirus and wish to grow.
  • ScaleUp Berkshire. A signposting service delivered by experienced business advisers. This is aimed at SMEs who are growing exponentially with 5+ FTEs and have a £1m+ turnover and wish to grow even faster.
  • Peer Networks Programme. A peer-to-peer networking programme designed to help SMEs accelerate their recovery from COVID-19. Here you can create a trusted network of connections, build resilience and improve overall productivity. Sessions start in October 2020 and will run until March 2021.

If your business is struggling because of Coronavirus, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with PKB and we’ll be able to discuss the support available to you.
