Trainee Accountant

No previous experience or knowledge is essential, but you should have a passion for thriving and attention to detail. This will become a role where you have contact with clients, so first-rate communication and presentation skills are essential.

You should be able to demonstrate that you can organise yourself and your workload and meet deadlines. You will be comfortable working under pressure, whilst maintaining high standards of work.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and helping others out when needed. The ability to build excellent relationships with your colleagues and clients is vital in this role.

Trainee Accountant Requirements:

  • Excellent eye for detail
  • High level of communication skills
  • Outstanding organisation skills, with the ability to work in a timeous manner and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn IT skills with a variety of software
  • Ability to demonstrate a reasonably high level of academic achievement and a passion for success
  • Mentoring and a good study support package (AAT) will be provided if the candidate proves their ability

Typical duties will include:

  • Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders & Partnerships
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax computations & Returns
  • Liaising with clients where required – full training will be provided

Trainee Bookkeeper

No previous experience or knowledge is essential, but you should have a passion for thriving and attention to detail. This will become a role where you have contact with clients, so first-rate communication and presentation skills are essential.

You should be able to demonstrate that you can organise yourself and your workload and meet deadlines. You will be comfortable working under pressure, whilst maintaining high standards of work.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and helping others out when needed. The ability to build excellent relationships with your colleagues and clients is vital in this role.

The role will involve the use of Xero, SAGE, Quickbooks, Clearbooks for which full training will be provided. Our clients use a multitude of programmes and their businesses are diverse.

Typical duties will include:

  • Input of invoices, input of bank account information and reconciliation of accounts on either a monthly or a yearly basis, calculation and reconciliation of  VAT, input of wages
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Daily usage of Financial Processes, enhancing and updating where needed
  • Preparing Schedules, statements and Reports as requested
  • Balancing accounts on a day-to-day/week -to-week basis

You must have a good eye for detail and be able to demonstrate that you are computer literate.
