In Memoriam: Brian Kirkby

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Kirkby, one of the founding members of PKB Accountants and the “K” in our firm’s name.
Brian was instrumental in the establishment and growth of PKB Accountants. From the very beginning, he helped shape not only the firm’s professional standards but also its values — integrity, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to clients. His vision and leadership laid the foundations on which PKB continues to build today.
Throughout his career, Brian was widely respected for his expertise, professionalism, and thoughtful approach to problem-solving. Colleagues and clients alike valued his calm guidance, sound judgment, and genuine interest in helping others succeed. Beyond technical skill, Brian brought warmth, humour, and generosity to the workplace, fostering strong relationships that endured well beyond business matters.
As a partner, mentor, and trusted adviser, Brian played a significant role in the professional development of many within the firm. His influence is reflected not only in PKB’s success, but in the people who had the privilege of working alongside him.
We are deeply grateful for Brian’s contribution to PKB Accountants and to the wider community. His legacy will continue through the firm he helped create and the values he instilled in all of us.
Our thoughts are with Brian’s family and loved ones at this difficult time. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
