The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued guidance which details how it’s supporting businesses, local authorities and consumers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It focuses on the key issues related to the Government measures which have been introduced to safeguard the public. The OPSS is working with businesses to identify where regulatory requirements are preventing them from delivering the products that both the public and NHS need.
In relation to this, the OPSS has produced a number of helpful documents including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations, placing hand cleaning and sanitising products on the UK market, guidance for new small-scale manufacturers who want to produce COVID-19 PPE and more.
